About Barbara

Barbara Reaume GRI, SRES, SFR, CN.

A Realtor with 28 years experience…

Barbara Reaume understands the drive to own a home; she draws from 28 years of experience as an established realtor. As a young mother she knew she needed to find a home that would fit her growing family. With property values increasing at the time, she also saw the benefit of a home as a financial investment. The process of buying the first home for the family sparked her enthusiasm for real estate so much that in 1982 she became a REALTORÒ and joined Coldwell Banker in Pasadena. When the family moved to a 350-acre ranch in San Luis Obispo County, Barbara expanded her real estate experience to include ranches and vineyards.

Her career with Coldwell Banker in Montecito involves counseling clients on the sale and purchase of property in Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch, Goleta, Montecito, Summerland and Carpinteria. Her clients appreciate that she is never in a rush; personal experience has shown her how much time it can take to make the right decision about such a huge investment. But underneath her soft approach is an astute business mind that is always focused on doing the very best for her clients.

For a number of years Barbara was involved in a family owned construction company that renovated and built houses.  Because of Barbara’s experience in this area, she can help a client, through her many resources in the Santa Barbara community, to determine what a house needs and whether there are issues a buyer needs to be aware of. With her in-depth knowledge of that industry, she can guide a client to a satisfactory decision and a successful conclusion of their purchase.

One of Barbara biggest joys in life (right up there on a level with finding the right house for the right client at the right time) is having fun with her three lively young grandkids, Danny 4, Max 3, and Cate 1.  Yet when you talk to her, you can tell how immensely proud she is of her own four talented children who have grown and benefited from living in different parts of Southern California.

Daughter Cameron also lives here in Santa Barbara with her husband, John Lorenz, a Financial Advisor. Son Gregory is studying law at UCLA; this year his wife, Phelps, is teaching at the University of Kabul in Afghanistan. And son Bryson owns City Constructors, a highly respected construction company in downtown Los Angeles, and lives with his wife Monica in Pasadena.

Son Taylor, Owner of The Search Engine Pros in Santa Barbara, is the go-to person for search engine optimization. He keeps Barbara on the cutting edge of technology so she can use it effectively to help her clients.  You can find Barbara on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and many other social media websites.  Her commitment to the technology of real estate has kept her business thriving and has helped her clients to reach out for the information they need.
